Biography
The Jason Martinko Revue featuring Jason Martinko - vocals, guitar; Jordan McMillen - drums; Nick Scuglia - bass; Steve Jacobs - sax was formed in 1999.
Jason Martinko released the CD "Soul Boy" in 1998 before forming The JMR the following year.
During the next decade, The JMR played in endless juke joints, strip clubs and roadside dives. They released the self-titled CD "The Jason Martinko Revue" in 2003.
In 2006, they released their first feature film "Gone the Way of Flesh" on DVD. The movie is an explicit, rockabilly, horror, exploitation film to promote their band. It was written, directed, produced and edited by Jordan McMillen and Jason Martinko. It was originally released by McMillen's own company Cut'N'Run Productions, but eventually distributed by Tempe Entertainment. "Gone the Way of Flesh" is currently available on Netflix, where it has recieved over 4,000 votes to date.
The JMR released the CD "Damaged Goods" on Bonedog Records in 2007.
The JMR is currently working on a new CD for Bonedog Records called "Lovin' Dangerously" and finishing filming of their second feature film, "Gone the Way of Flesh II: Fresh Bloody Flesh." The new movie features cameos by Troma's Lloyd Kaufman and porn legends Ron Jeremy and Jamie Gillis.
