Since the band’s formation in June 2004, PhaZer has already collected several good reviews from the worldwide press and was described as the “big promise of the Portuguese Rock”. The Lisbon band identifies itself with the Rock genre, but without creative limitation of any kind to their music style, they drift into several music styles from Metal to progressive Rock adding alternative styles such as Country, Folk and Funk, resulting on a modern Rock style approach with reminiscences of the 70’s, 80’s and middle 90’s.
Early on, PhaZer start working on several songs that are included on their first live appearances at the beginning of 2005 to the Lisbon audience on a mini-tour named "Beta-Tour". The good follow-up encourages them to enter the studio in order to record their debut record EP "Revelations", self-produced without any support. The chosen place was Namoche studio in Lisbon (Portugal), with the partnership of Quim Monte (Moonspell, Under the Moonspell) and Fred Stone (Blasted Mechanism) for the record production.
In June 2006, the EP “Revelations” is released, and soon it’s unanimous acclaimed by the national and international media as one of the best records in 2006, and the band considered one of the best Portuguese new acts in 2006. "Revelations" still earns more popularity playing in several worldwide radios.
After the “Revelations” release, PhaZer returns to the road to the anticipated “Revelations Tour” for the record promotion, covering practically all Portuguese Rock and Metal "hotspots” in a total of 47 shows, such as the "Hard Rock Cafe" of Lisbon, several festivals, showcases, motorcycle festivals, etc. This tour allowed the band to attract many new fans all over the country.
During 2009, PhaZer is working on their first full length album, that was recently recorded in the Urban Insect Studios in Lisbon (Portugal) with the producer Fernando Matias which has already produced bands such as F.E.V.E.R. and Moonspell (Remix in Night Eternal), among others.
